What is the difference between Hyperopia and Presbyopia?
Even though, the symptoms for this 2 conditions are very similar where near vision is affected, one key difference between these 2 conditions, is that presbyopia sets in after ages of around 40 as it is due to aging. Whereas hyperopia is a condition where it can affect people of all ages.
And yes, it is possible for an individual to have both hyperopia and presbyopia.
Presbyopia is related to the weakening of the eye muscle (inside the eyeball) that control near focus while hyperopia is related to the shorter axial length of the eyeball.
